9:53pm, 27/3/18 Auckland, Nu Zild
Speculation continues as to whether or not SANZAAR, the governing body of Super Rugby and The Rugby Championship, actually just want the non-Test portion of the calendar to disappear up it’s own arse. .
An official statement from SANZAAR was unavailable at the time of posting, leaving only the standard reply available from previous seasons:
“Fuck the rules, this is the best comp in the world, everyone said so twenty years back so it’s the same now. Conferences, knockouts, weird bye systems, pissing about with bonus points... whatever we do it doesn’t die, so it’s the best. See?”

Fuckhead "conferences" where some cunts get a nice easy "but mummy, mummy, we have all the TV money so we should get a nice easy path to the playoffs" chicanery.

I think so In other newz, SKY TV are no longer “preferred option” for RWC broadcasting rights, which points to them losing that. No non-preferred broadcaster has ever been awarded RWC rights.

Obviously it should be the birthright of all New Zealanders to watch the national rugby team on free-to-air television. What the fuck else is the entire medium for besides that?
How NZ has let a situation come to pass where such a birthright is left open to some sort of capitalist casualty negotiation fappery is unfathomable from this distant vantage point.
